The next and last step in your twice daily routine is your moisturizer. There are several misconceptions about moisturizers out there. As a skin care professional, I have heard many people claim that moisturizer clogs their face up and makes them break out. They also claim that it makes their skin too oily. The truth is, a person with overly oily skin should always use a good moisturizer. Reason being, when your skin is too dry, it causes your body to over produce oil to compensate. This causes a vicious cycle that is hard to break. |

In Part 1, I talked about my good genes, now let's talk about the steps I take with my skin care routine to stay youthful. First of all, I began a regular skincare regimen at age 18. I was in cosmetology school, and we learned how to do these anti-aging nonsurgical facelift facials. I was amazed at the difference they made on fine lines and wrinkles!
They also kept up that appearance if the guest continued to come back and get the services on a regular basis. I wanted to get them so bad, but my instructors refused. They told me over and over again how I was too young, these were only meant for people over the age of 35. My opinion? If I start before I have any wrinkles, I will never have any. Makes sense right? So I combed through the pages of skincare chapters in my book and began doing research on as many different skincare lines as I could.
In this final piece to my Pretty Pregnant series, I will share my best, not so kept secret! Last, but definitely not least: the most important tip I can share with you as not only a pregnant woman but a beauty expert in general is this: DRINK WATER!!!!!
I hate when I hear anyone say, “I hate water.” Really? How can you feel quenched or refreshed on a hot day with any other beverage? I seriously have a hard time understanding how it is so hard for anyone to just drink a few cups of water a day! I have a water cup that holds 24 oz. That’s 3 cups! Its pretty easy to get down also. If you can drink 3 of them, that’s all the water you need in a day's time. Then you can go have all your other drinks that you insist are so much better than just plain water! |
