So I've been doing tons of crafts on my down time lately and started thinking, why am I not making hair accessories? I'm constantly looking for different and unique pieces for my daughters who have style totally out of the norm for young teen and tween girls. They would much rather have skulls, and comic book characters than pretty glittery flowers and bows.

As many of you well know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This terrible disease claims too many lives each year. I like to always try to do some type of fundraiser every year to donate to the cause, typically research. This year, I am doing something slightly different.
About a month ago, a client of mine came in for her usual appointment. She brought me some ice cream (yes, I'm pregnant, and she knows I'm always hungry, haha!) Then she sat down and said, "I have bad news."
Homecoming time has arrived! I am super excited to start making girls pretty for their special night. To some, this is just a tradition always experienced just because it's what you should do in high school. To others, it's one of the most important nights of their lives and a right of passage. Homecoming season is one of my favorite times of year. I mean, who wouldn't want to be involved in turning girls into their vision of a beautiful princess? This year, I have the joy of transforming my own little princess! It's already been a year of a lot of firsts but this has been one I have looked forward to since I first found out I was getting a baby girl over 14 years ago! Stayed tuned for pictures! I promise there will be several! |
