I have been busy putting in pink extensions and selling pink accessories for Breast Cancer Awareness! This is an awesome way to help raise awareness of the disease and support a friend/client of mine in the process. Don't forget to call or message to book your individual appointment or your event soon! We have two weeks left until October is over! Let's make one final push to help support a great woman!

As a cosmetologist, I have been trained not only in hair but skin and nails as well. I have always had a love of skincare and have used many different lines to try to find the perfect line for me. Finally, I have found a company with distributors who love their line and are very passionate about it! This is the best kind of company! I am super excited to announce that I am now a distributor with Nuskin!
Along with the many joys of being pregnant, come the woes. We all know what I'm talking about. The blotchy skin, weird breakouts, odd skin tag growths etc. The worst part is, most of what really works to cure these problems are not safe to use while pregnant. As a cosmetologist, I am used to using many harsh products to keep my skin in top shape. I love a good chemical peel or acne medication that can kill the problem within a couple days and bring my skin back to it’s clear porceline completion I am used to having. It has been many years since I was pregnant so I forgot how many of my favorite products would become off limits. I have been working most of my pregnancy battling one issue after another.
So I've been doing tons of crafts on my down time lately and started thinking, why am I not making hair accessories? I'm constantly looking for different and unique pieces for my daughters who have style totally out of the norm for young teen and tween girls. They would much rather have skulls, and comic book characters than pretty glittery flowers and bows.
As many of you well know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This terrible disease claims too many lives each year. I like to always try to do some type of fundraiser every year to donate to the cause, typically research. This year, I am doing something slightly different.
About a month ago, a client of mine came in for her usual appointment. She brought me some ice cream (yes, I'm pregnant, and she knows I'm always hungry, haha!) Then she sat down and said, "I have bad news."
Homecoming time has arrived! I am super excited to start making girls pretty for their special night. To some, this is just a tradition always experienced just because it's what you should do in high school. To others, it's one of the most important nights of their lives and a right of passage. Homecoming season is one of my favorite times of year. I mean, who wouldn't want to be involved in turning girls into their vision of a beautiful princess? This year, I have the joy of transforming my own little princess! It's already been a year of a lot of firsts but this has been one I have looked forward to since I first found out I was getting a baby girl over 14 years ago! Stayed tuned for pictures! I promise there will be several! With upstyles, classic ponytails and messy buns at the top of the style list for fashion right now, I have been looking for something special to keep from damaging my hair and causing breakage. I started seeing videos for this new band a month ago and have been on the hunt for some ever since. I finally found them this past week and they are amazing! I have pretty fine thin hair and the way these are made helps to really fan out my hair and make it look much more full! They can also be used for a full up do without using any pins at all! I have several clients with sensitive scalps and they have a very hard time with keeping their hair up with a regular elastic or updo. These have become a real lifesaver for me! There are several step by steps on YouTube showing how these work! I will say, I'm in love!
