As many of you well know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This terrible disease claims too many lives each year. I like to always try to do some type of fundraiser every year to donate to the cause, typically research. This year, I am doing something slightly different.
About a month ago, a client of mine came in for her usual appointment. She brought me some ice cream (yes, I'm pregnant, and she knows I'm always hungry, haha!)
Then she sat down and said, "I have bad news."

Then she sat down and said, "I have bad news."
My first thought? She's moving; yet another client leaving me! No!
She then said, " I just found out I have stage 2 breast cancer."
My stomach dropped! This is one of my best and favorite clients. She's loyal, friendly, a giant pain in the butt, and I can tell her how it is, and she listens. The rest of the appointment continued in awkward, depressing conversation of what she plans on doing and how she plans to pay for things when she is out of work.

The hardest thing for her is the fact that she is single. She lives completely on her own, and her dad is sick, so she really has nobody to take care of her. I decided that day, my pink campaign would benefit her this year. Now, I try not to sell anything through my blog or generate any income, but this time is different. I would love to share with everyone my specials for the month of October with all proceeds going to my amazingly strong client.
This month only, for a minimum $10 donation, you can get 2 pink streaks in your hair. These are either extension pieces or color pieces, whichever you prefer. I have also made some pink ribbon clips that you can put on your hair or clip to a scarf, bag, etc. These pink ribbon clips are $8 each. |

Remember, all proceeds go to a great cause, and my client would be very grateful to have a little extra so she can stay on top of bills while she is out of work.

Contact me on here or at the salon to schedule a time in the month of October to support a great person and raise awareness of the importance of cancer screenings and overall knowledge of the disease! I can do individual appointments or if you have a group wanting to get together, we can do an event at your home, business or in my shop! Pics to come from an event I will be doing at the dental office my husband works at! Thank you!
